The Spirit gathers us in for a sacred time of worship and thanksgiving — a celebration on our journey with God and each other.  In a Sunday service you'll experience heartfelt music, uplifting and challenging preaching, multicultural  expression and authentic caring.  The Sunday celebration is the foundation of every week and the wellspring of life and mission.  Our congregation is diverse in race, economic and educational background, sexual orientation and more.  No one group makes up more than 60% of the total.

Family Ministry--Hello!  Welcome to Family Ministry at Westminster! Please join us for worship each Sunday at 11. We’d love to welcome your family into our caring, creative, diverse and progressive congregation.

For the summer, we have a somewhat relaxed schedule. We begin with all ages in the service for the first fifteen minutes. We have a quiet table for children to color Bible story pages or draw from scratch. Children aged four and older then gather on the chancel (at the front of the sanctuary) for a Message for All Ages, after which they are escorted downstairs during the sermon for a Godly Play Bible story and wondering time. They then return to worship after the sermon. We also have a large room nearby for infants, toddlers and young preschoolers to play and move—with a live feed of the service for parents. Children in this space must be supervised by a responsible adult or parent. In the Godly Play room, we have a Storyteller and Doorkeeper on duty so that parents may remain in worship upstairs.

Our new Family Ministry Team is beginning to explore more ways to nurture our growing program. Come be part of this exciting time of new beginnings.

Please contact our new Director of Family Ministry, Rachel Clark with any questions.

Music and Worship Arts-- Westminster has a strong network of musicians and artists, within and beyond the congregation, who help us worship in ways that reflect our global world and diverse membership.  There are opportunities for vocal soloists, choral ensembles, dancers, instrumentalists, Jazz, Blues, bluegrass, folk, and more.  Let us know how you would like to share your musical and artistic gifts to praise God and build the faith community.

Preaching — The Westminster pulpit is known for its grounding in God’s word and amazing welcome, its love of Christ, its commitment to peace and  justice, and its relevance to our lives today.  Whether Rev. Ruth, Rev. Brian or other guest preachers, the sermon always works to shape our faith and action.
